I've searched for a preschool for our son for almost 3 months in 2008. I have a long list of 'must haves' in the school that I want for Aidan who's only turning 3 years old during that time. The Pail and Shovel tarpaulins along P. Tuazon Ave and Santolan Ave drew my attention and I decided to visit the school with Aidan. On March 18, 2008, I went to the school with Aidan. I saw Aidan's eyes light up the moment we entered the classroom (with the toys and material on the shelves). He was allowed to explore, including the toys - check! Teacher Myles discussed with me the school philosophy, teaching method, everything I need to know about the school - check!. I felt at home immediately in the school. I was browsing through their photo albums and saw the smile in the faces of the students, parents and teachers. She gave us a tour of the school, which I really enjoyed because at least I saw the classrooms and other facilities.
.After that first visit in 2008, I never had any regrets in enrolling our son in Pail and Shovel. I have witnessed and experienced, first hand, how the school philosophy is applied. Aidan's progress during his first year (2's and 3's class) in Pail and Shovel was over and beyond our expectations. He became a happy learner, explorer, and caring child. More importantly, he became independent and is able to express his feelings and emotions through speech. P&S was instrumental in developing and nurturing Aidan's confidence to face the challenges of everyday life.
I give credit to his dedicated teachers and everyone in the school who untiringly showered the children with love and used every opportunities to promote a healthy learning atmosphere. I am very are grateful to his teachers for giving us feedback and unselfishly sharing their know-how on how Aidan can further improve his skills. I also commend the efforts of the school in promoting parents and guardians involvement in all activities. It has really fostered a good relationship amongst the parent/guardians, children and school staff.
