Students Showcase Class Experiment By: Anika Makulangan and Teacher Pichie Villegas
The activities were arranged in a way where contributions from each class were given spotlight. These experiments were simple, but definitely blew our minds! Some of the experiments featured hair, batteries, chemical potential energy, and electric fruits.
For the Grades 1 and 2 students, this was their first taste of Science, so joy and wonder were clearly seen in their young faces. As for the upper graders, not only were they given time to experience making the experiment set-ups, but they showed their abilities in forming conclusions as well.
On the last day, the students voted for their favorite experiment. Although the grade 7 won the best experiment, the entire student body still felt pride being a part event.
Of course, the preschool department also had a big celebration. Each class presented a short play that was connected to transportation, their current classroom lesson. The energetic preschoolers playfully presented stories like the Super Duper Rescue Team, and Row, Row, Row Your Boat. After that, the audience was treated to an interactive story telling session by our own Teacher Ipe.
Undeniably, this year‘s academic week was simple but full of learning experiences. It taught the community that all subjects are related and can work together as one. Moreover, it gave our budding artists a chance to perform for their parents and families.
