On the 3rd of February 2017, the students of Pail and Shovel Integrated School went on their grand field trip. Before leaving the bus terminal, the teachers gave booklets to the pupils to check if they learned anything from the trip.
This year, teachers and students went to three venues. The first venue was the Museo Pambata where the pupils learned many facts about their body, our country‘s history, and different environmental discoveries. They were able to venture into the human body and walk around ancient instruments and toys. The Museo Pambata taught the children how our tools and surroundings have evolved throughout the years.
The second stop was the Lights and Sounds Museum. The museum concentrated on Filipino history during the Spanish colonization of the Philippines. Unlike the first venue, the Lights and Sounds Museum was more mature and serious in their message and presentation. It‘s a tour around a dark place, and the only source of light were the flashlights held by the workers and the other lights showcasing mannequins. As the lights showed the different events in the Filipino history, there was a voiceover explaining what happened in the scene.
